Introduction

The speed web cam makes good economic sense. I've long wondered how people can enter a lottery and expect to win. In fact they probably have more chance of being run over by a motor vehicle whilst crossing the road to purchase their ticket that actually winning. Looking at the way the odds work, I've discovered a revolutionary way to win the same amount of money with far better chances, using the speed web cam.

Your Chances
The chances of winning a lottery if you purchase a ticket are low. To calculate it out, if numbers are drawn at random from the set of integers between 1 and 49, which means there are 49/(6*(49-6)) combinations of numbers. This means that the jackpot chance is 1 in 13,983,816 or approximately 1 in 14 million.

The Option
Conversely I've also noticed that crime statistics are on the increase. You might wonder how that can work for you. My hypothesis is that if you have more of a chance getting a reward for handing in a dangerous criminal. To calculate the chance of that happening, lets just say that in Australia at any one time there are 40 unsolved cases that have a substantial reward in the magnitude of a first division lottery win. Lets also assume that 20 different individuals have committed these crimes. There are 16 million people in Australia, or that would translate through to a better than one in one million chance of a person you picking at random would be a wanted criminal with a bounty.

So picking a person at random and interrogating them to see if they are a wanted criminal would be equivalent to purchasing between 14 and 16 lottery tickets, given the comparative chances. Now if you wanted to assign a value for 'testing citizens' to see if they are criminals with bounties it would be the value of 14 lottery tickets. Given that lottery tickets cost $3.10 AUD each, the value of interrogating people is 3.10 x 14 = $43.40 AUD per person 'tested'.

What to do
Now, I'm not suggesting that you go tackling people in the street to get your $43.40 worth of value, but instead report things like vehicles for speeding. Each time you do that, it is over $43 worth of value to you and is equivalent to purchasing 14 lottery tickets. If it turns out that the vehicle you report is subsequently owned or used by a wanted criminal with a reward then you win 'the big one', with rewards of up to one million dollars.

Fact: Most wanted criminals are caught because they draw attention to themselves with minor traffic offences.
To make this easier for all my friends on the Internet I've set up a web cam with a speed radar unit attached. All you need to do is watch the speed radar cam and anytime you see a vehicle speeding note the time, day and speed of the vehicle.

Each time you report an infraction your chances of winning is the same as buying 14 lottery tickets and you could win the big one if the person you report is a wanted criminal. So enter your chance to win the jackpot today by reporting people speeding, and maybe they could a wanted criminal. Just keep your eye on the speed web cam and see if you can pick the wanted criminal.

In return for providing you with the speed web cam I would ask for 30% of any rewards you might get from this useful service.
